What is a knowledge quiz?

A knowledge quiz comprises a set of questions for assessing knowledge on a subject. The quiz creator writes the questions and marks each question's correct answer(s). After answering each question, you can configure whether a correct/incorrect indication & explanation is displayed. The reader answers each question and, at the end of the quiz, gets a result/score.

How to create a knowledge quiz

You can create a knowledge quiz in four ways:

  1. Start from scratch: Build your quiz step by step.

  2. Create with AI: Enter a topic and let our AI create the quiz.

  3. Start with a template: Start with a ready-made template and customize it

  4. Import your own questions: type or copy/paste your questions (and answer options)

Quiz editor overview

Inside the editor you’ll see:

  • Left panel: Edit the quiz structure: cover page, questions, and results.

  • Center: Preview each card as you edit it (to see the full quiz, click Preview button in the top bar).

  • Right panel: Customize the content, design, and settings. The Content tab helps you set features of the card in the center. The Design tab lets you adjust branding elements. Use the Settings tab to control general quiz behavior.

Structure of a knowledge quiz

Cover page

Add a title, description (optional), and image or video (optional). You can upload your own image or video or search for an image (make sure to apply the free to use or share filter in this case).

Questions

Add multiple-choice questions to test users’ knowledge. You can also include a lead form to collect details like name, email, or custom fields - ideal for lead generation.

For each question, mark the correct answer(s) and decide if users should see feedback after submitting. You can also add optional explanations and shuffle answer order.

Closings

At the end of the quiz, show users a closing screen based on their score. You can display a single closing with total points or create multiple closings for different score ranges. For example, low scores can show encouragement, while high scores can trigger a congratulatory message with a CTA (optional).

Settings and customization

In the Design tab, you can change colors, fonts, and more to match your brand. Read more about design customization.

The Settings tab gives you advanced control over your quiz. For example, you can remove the Opinion Stage branding, receive email notifications for new entries, set a closing date, adjust navigation options & more!

Distributing your quiz

Once your quiz is ready, it’s time to share it. Read all about sharing your items here.

Viewing and analyzing results

Once responses start coming in, you can track performance right inside your dashboard. You'll see how many people viewed, started, and completed the quiz, along with engagement metrics like average time and CTA clicks. You can also review individual responses and export results. Read more about each results section here.

That’s everything you need to get started with a knowledge quiz. If you have questions, reach out through our chat located on the bottom/right of the screen - we’re here to help!
