The drop-off report visually highlights the exact steps where users stop engaging with your item. By showing how far users progress before abandoning the experience, you can identify exit points and make informed improvements that boost completion rates and responses.

Why it matters

This report helps you:

  • Spot friction points that cause users to exit (e.g., long or confusing questions),

  • Evaluate the overall length & flow of your item (e.g., is it too long)

  • Make data-informed improvements that increase completions.

How to access the drop-off report

  1. Open the Results page for your item & choose the Performance section.

  2. At the bottom of this section, you’ll find the drop-off report.

It will display a funnel-style breakdown of engagement at each step, along with percentages showing how many users continued or dropped off:

Tips for using the report

Here’s how to act on what the drop-off report shows:

  • Add Skip logic to avoid unnecessary questions for certain users.

  • Make questions as short & simple as possible.

  • Move engaging questions earlier in the flow.

  • Use engaging formats, such as image answers or quick taps, to reduce fatigue.

A high drop-off rate doesn’t mean failure, and instead, it allows you to work on your item. Use the report to learn, adjust, and keep improving your item’s performance.
