You can save changes without publishing after the initial publish. You have the option to Save Draft, keeping your updates unpublished until you're ready. If you want to edit an item that's published and publish the changes right away, you can use the Publish button.
Items with unpublished changes will be marked as "unpublished changes" in your list.
Both the Save Draft and the Publish button will only be enabled if there are new changes.
