Opinion Stage has a native integration with Mailchimp that lets you send email leads you capture in Opinion Stage items (e.g. polls/quizzes/surveys/forms) directly to your Mailchimp account).

To configure the integration follow these steps

A. Copy the Mailchimp Key

  1. Navigate to the API Keys section of your account.

  2. Click Create New Key.

  3. Name your key descriptively, so you know what application uses that key. Keep in mind that you’ll see only this name and the first 4 digits on your list of API keys after the key is generated.

  4. Click Generate Key.

  5. Once we generate your key, click Copy Key to Clipboard. Save your key someplace secure; you won’t be able to see or copy it again. If you lose this key, you’ll need to generate a new key and update any integration that uses it.

  6. Click Done.

B. Copy the Audience ID

  1. Click Audience.

  2. Click All contacts.

  3. If you have more than one audience, click the Current audience drop-down and choose the one you want to work with.

  4. Click the Settings drop-down and choose Audience name and defaults.

  5. In the Audience ID section, you’ll see a string of letters and numbers. This is your audience ID.

C. Paste the Key & ID in the Opinion Stage Mailchimp integration

  1. From the integrations section of your item, launch the Mailchimp integration settings.

  2. Paste the MailChimp API key and the Mailchimp Audience ID you previously copied.

  3. Decide if you want to enable/disable Double opt-in (if double opt-in is enabled, each email gathered will only be added to the list after the user confirms it)

  4. Click save.

  5. Verify your item (e.g. quiz, survey) with the new Mailchimp integration settings is saved.

Note that the native integration is good when you want to send the gathered emails to MailChimp. In case you would like to send multiple parameters to Mailchimp, use the Zapier integration.
