Overview
The item lock feature allows item creators to prevent unauthorized edits by locking their items. When an item is locked, only the creator can unlock and modify it, ensuring better control over important content.
How It Works
Locking an item: Item creators can lock their items from the drop-down menu in the dasboard screen.
Locked items: Editing actions like "Save Draft" and "Publish" are disabled for all users, including the creator, until the creator unlocks them.
Unlocking an item: Only the item creator can unlock a locked item.
How to Lock an Item
Go to your dashboard.
Click on the drop-down menu next to the item.
Select "Lock" (this option is only available to the item creator).
How to Unlock an Item
Open your dashboard.
Click on the drop-down menu next to the locked item.
Select "Unlock" (this option is only available to the item creator).
Locked items can still be duplicated by other users, but the original item remains locked.
